Chronic Bladder and Yeast infections?

Could my diet as a vegan be the cause of my chronic bladder and yeast infections?

That’s actually a good question. I am a vegetarian and have the same problems with chronic yeast infections and UTIs. I know that yeast infections are caused, in many cases, by Candida, which can be increased when you eat a lot of sugar and carbs. I know that when I don’t make an effort I am typically drawn to carbs as my main food source since I don’t eat meat. This could be a factor. Try changing your diet if you think that’s possible; I have recently cut my sugar intake by a large amount and this has helped :)
UTIs and bladder infections, though, are caused by bacteria that are completely unrelated to your diet. These are caused by contamination and are unrelated to the yeast infections. They can be caused by wiping the wrong way (back to front) or sex.
I have seen so many OB/GYNs and been prescribed so many meds…I took diflucan for 6 months straight and it helped while i took it but they came back after I stopped. I just did a regimen of Septra and Fluconazol. That combo seemed to help…its an antibacterial and yeast medication…
Hope I helped, these conditions are amazingly uncomfortable! Good luck getting help!
